Congratulations on your new kitten!

The following describes what typically happens on your first few vet visits, which are very important in getting your kitten off to a great start! 



1st Visit - 6 weeks

  • Physical examination
  • 1st kitten vaccine:  Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia, and Chlamydia
  • Deworming

2nd Visit - 9 weeks

  • Physical examination
  • 2nd kitten vaccine:  Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia, and Chlamydia
  • For outdoor or increased-risk pets:  first Feline Leukemia vaccine, after a negative test performed in-house
  • Deworming


3rd Visit - 12 weeks

  • Physical examination
  • 3rd kitten vaccine:  Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia, and Chlamydia
  • For outdoor or increased-risk pets:  second Feline Leukemia vaccine
  • Deworming


4th Visit - 16 weeks

  • Physical examination
  • For outdoor or increased-risk pets:  Rabies vaccine
  • Schedule a spay or neuter!  For most pets, the best time to have this done is between 4 months and 6 months of age.
